Move budget without touching the estimate

Your estimate freezes when you submit it, when it goes for sign-off, and again at NTP. That is by design — the baseline is the promise, and a promise you can edit isn't one. But it left the Job Budget with no way to move a dollar after the fact except a whole new estimate revision, which re-prices the bid to fix a budget.

Now the budget has its own controls, at the bottom of the Job Budget tab:

  • ± Adjust — add or remove budget on one cost code and cost type. Pick "No cost code" to budget scope that never got a code.
  • Transfer — move budget from one cost code and type to another. It nets to zero, so the total doesn't change; the rows do.
  • Every move needs a reason, shows in the log under the controls, and can be removed (a transfer reverses both legs together).

The Baseline column stays exactly what the estimate said. Current is baseline plus executed change orders plus these adjustments, and every variance still reads against Current. Rows with an adjustment show it under the Current figure, and the CSV export gets an Adjustments column.

Adjusting needs the Setup area, the same as the rest of the Budget tab.
