The project Overview now leads with the money
Open a job and the first question is never "how many submittals are open." It's "are we making money on this, and what is stuck." The Overview tab now answers both without scrolling.
Three money blocks instead of ten cells. The two KPI strips are gone. In their place: Contract with the executed change orders split out of it, Cost vs budget to date, and Billed vs collected. Each carries a proportion bar, so the shape of the job reads before the numbers do. The cost block measures you against what the schedule says you should have spent by now — a job 60% built has not overrun at 60% spent — with a tick marking that mark and the variance called out beside the figure.
One ledger instead of four counts. Open submittals, RFIs, change events, PCOs and unpaid invoices now sit in a single Open items table. Every row has the thing's identifier, whose desk it's on, what it's worth and how many days it has been waiting; late rows sort to the top and go red. Filter to Mine or Late, or click any row through to its own tab. Unpaid invoices include simplified-billing jobs, which the old pending-invoice count missed.
Tasks read by owner. The task list on Overview is now a dense three-column table — owner, task, due — sorted overdue-first, so "who do I chase" is answerable at a glance. Adding, completing and deleting work exactly as before.
Reference facts moved to a rail. The GC, site address, dates, internal team and today's field status were three full-width cards; they're now one 300px panel down the right side, with the general contractor at the top. Notes sit beneath it. On a tablet the whole page folds to a single column and the facts spread three across.
Pursuits get the same treatment. On a job you're still bidding, the three blocks become Bid value with its cost and margin split, the Bid clock, and Scope coverage — how many of the spec sections your trades are responsible for are actually priced. The ledger becomes Blocking the bid: open RFIs, current addenda, quotes in hand but not yet levelled, and open tasks.
The photo quick-add moves into the rail too, under today's field status — on a tablet on site, "snap a progress shot" and "what did the crew log today" now sit together.
And on Billing: the work-complete project list now defaults to job number order rather than project name, and job numbers sort the way you'd read them — 24-9 before 24-118, not after. Jobs without a number sort to the bottom.
